Therapeutic Movement/Dance and Mindfulness-based Groups
Customized Therapeutic Groups for adults and young adults who are experiencing diverse challenges, including mental health challenges and disconnection from community.
Groups intend to foster a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space for participants to connect with themselves and each other, learn new skills, feel nourished and rejuvenated. Groups incorporate gently guided therapeutic movement/dance to music, expressive arts and mindfulness practices. All activities and processes are tailed to participants unique needs. Past groups and workshops offered:
For university and college students experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, and disconnection from community who would like to be more connected with themselves, find more ease, peace, self confidence, connection, belonging:
- "Connecting with the Embodied Self" Therapeutic Movement/Dance therapy groups, Expressive Arts and Mindfulness-based therapy and psychoeducational groups at George Brown College, offered each semester for 10 years (2015 - 2025)
- "Discovery Circle" therapeutic arts workshop series at the University of Toronto Multi-Faith Centre
- "Art of Peace and Power Within" mindfulness-based psychoeducational groups at the Ontario College of Art and Design University, offered each semester for 2 years

Facilitated by Nadia Stolpner, MSW RSW. Nadia holds a Masters degree in Social Work and professional trainings in leading mindfulness and therapeutic movement/dance-based groups and workshops. She has been facilitating therapeutic movement and mindfulness-based groups for 15 years.
