Welcome. I work with clients collaboratively to support them with their unique situations and goals. Below are examples of some of the situations my clients and I work with together:

  • Would you like to understand yourself more around a particular situation you are facing? This may include support with becoming more aware of your feelings or needs, sensing more clearly what you want and do not want, hearing the desires of your heart or the call of your soul. Being able to understand ourselves better can give us more clarity and power for creating lives we desire and can be useful in all areas, including around making decisions, relationships, career and life direction.

Our bodies have a natural intelligence inside us that is there to guide us. This natural intelligence includes our innate abilities to sense, feel, know our needs, limits, desires, longings, to hear a quiet still voice of the deeper being. Body-based therapies can be valuable in helping us reconnect with this inner intelligence. 


For most of us, often due to family upbringing, trauma or cultural influences, we have grown out of touch with our innate inner wisdom. Western culture has taught many of us to use our minds, which is a wonderful tool, but when we rely on the mind alone and are not in touch with the wisdom of the body as well, it can be difficult to be connected with ourselves in ways that feel authentic.


If you find yourself often questioning or dismissing your inner knowing and feelings, using your thinking mind to override what your inner world knows, or choosing what you "should" be doing instead of what you feel is wanted, it can feel confusing and challenging to lead an authentic and fulfilling life. 


Through my own journey of recovering my connection with my inner wisdom over the past 25 years, I bring compassion and sensitivity with me and invite you to work together to gently uncover your natural capacity to understand yourself more and make choices that lead towards a more authentic and fulfilling life

  • In addition to feeling more connected with ourselves and understanding ourselves better, I find that creating a life one desires also includes shifting our habits. Are you looking for support in becoming more aware of beliefs and habits that no longer support you and listening to your body's wisdom to identify and grow into new more authentic and life giving beliefs and habits that would support you in living the life you desire?
  • Perhaps you are feeling tired, overwhelmed or burned out from consistently ignoring your limits, needs or desires, pushing yourself too hard, putting the needs of others above your own, or other unhelpful habits and would like to discover embodied ways of being present with yourself to listen to and hear what is happening for you, what you need, and how living in more alignment with yourself wants to be?
  • Perhaps you are gifted with sensitivity and can feel overwhelmed easily, wanting an attuned listener who would be present with you with warmth and care, and support you in discovering more grounding, self-care, reducing overwhelm, stress or burnout, developing better boundaries, and finding ways to nurture your soul, heart, and body?
  • If you are experiencing a physical health challenge, would you like support with cultivating more connection with your body to better hear and trust your own embodied wisdom guiding you towards more wellness? This may include listening to your body to become aware of beliefs, emotions, thoughts or behaviours that contribute to the health challenge and listening to the body's wisdom to discover new ways of relating with yourself and others that would support more wellness.
  • If you experience anxiety, would you find it helpful to discover grounding, breathing, and other embodiment practices to help your nervous system find safety, as well as learn mindful ways to notice unhelpful habits such as overthinking, exit the anxiety spiral, and return to a more present, resourceful and calm connection with your embodied self and with Life?

Counselling Approach




Counselling sessions use a body-oriented perspective.


Are you wishing to work with someone with whom you can feel seen, heard, and affirmed in what is true for you? 

Would you like to work with someone who can hold your vision with respect and reverence and support you on your journey towards it?


In addition to speaking, you will have an opportunity to connect with your experience in the body. Embodied awareness can offer richer opportunities for insight and transformation that speaking does alone. 


The sessions incorporate therapeutic movement/dance. No past experience with dance or movement is needed. My aim is always to start where the client is at and to go at their pace. This means that for clients who are new to movement, we might speak more and practice simple forms of meditation and embodiment at first. For clients who are more at ease with dance and wish to move more, we would incorporate more movement. 


When working with clients, I embrace what is unbroken, whole in you, in your divine nature, power and innate knowing. I esteem my clients and aim to support them in their natural authentic journey of becoming.


Other forms of expressive arts such as drawing can be included as well if desired by you. 


In our work together I draw from a variety of tools, based on what is needed for you. These tools include:

Body-oriented approaches to counselling and psychotherapy

Mindfulness

Dance/movement therapy

Guided imagery

Spiritual counselling

I use a person-centered, strength-based and trauma-informed approach.


Languages: In addition to English, sessions can be provided in Russian language.


Sessions are often covered by extended health benefit plans under Counselling or Psychotherapy services provided by a Registered Social Worker (I have a Masters in Social Work and am a Registered Social Worker). Please inquire with your insurance company. Receipts are provided.


Sessions are offered online over video and in person in Toronto (717 Bloor Street West).

Sessions are 1 hour long

Fees: $170 per session. Sliding scale is available for virtual sessions.
